Mwaha, it's the first collective profile thread~ Empty [General Info on Species]

Post  Choices Sun Jan 08, 2012 2:39 am

Firstly, the list of species that are included so far [question marks indicate a possibility]:

[Human]
Humans are known as the greediest among the greedy, the filthiest among the filthy, and the most corrupt of the corrupt. There are those who acknowledge this and try to fight against it, while there are the few who embrace it wholly... Blessed with no real powers, humans are able to rise from absolute nothing, and it is their ingenuity which is the most frightening.

[Dragon]
The actual myth surroundings dragons is the myth that they do not exist. Dragons are one of the fiercest creatures alive and breathing, born into one of the select elements; the majority tend to stay within the basic four: Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. However, every now and then, there'll be someone with a distinctive power because the one they wield is not any of these, but lightning. These winged beasts reflect their element, often with the color of their hair; typically, light-colored dragons are of the air and water element while darker ones represent the earth and fire. There is no known connection between the appearance of a dragon with the lightning element.

Dragons have a long history of secrecy; they are able to hide and blend in with society because they have adapted in order to have a human form. Nevertheless, these forms are not simply given; a young dragon must learn, adjust, and control their appearance in the most urgent cases. After having been almost wiped out from existence, the species has taken precautions to prevent that from happening a second time. Regardless, these safety measures do not truly represent their life-span. Dragons are able to die naturally, but only through conditions such as vital injuries. Their able bodies support longevity to the point that they do not die from old age. Still, that does not prevent their human form from aging; older dragons often abandon them once they have reached a certain age, although their human structure grows an infinite times slower than their original self.

These creatures also have a tendency to be aggressive. While the average dragon cooperates well with the next, there is a possibility of a spasmodic adrenaline burst and as a result they will fight, usually to the death; in extremely radical situations, the adrenaline bursts will explode continuously, causing them to go on a murderous rampage, literally driving them insane within seconds. Because of this, dragons do not typically have more than one egg in their entire lifetime, whenever that might be; if they were to, then the children's premature instincts would drive them to attack each other, ending with one or both of them dead. This hostile nature is not particularly apparent in human forms or older dragons, although most do not enjoy being in a different body and it takes a great deal of time in order to quell their natural antagonism.

A dragon's power is not restricted to mere fireballs and windstorms, on the other hand. As their beastly self, dragons have the ability to indeed summon the strongest natural disasters, but as humans they are able to convert these into smaller, more intricate tasks. (For instance, a Dragon of Water can control the flow of its element to an extent, using it to shower the earth instead of ravaging it with tsunamis; a Dragon of Air can utilize the air to transport things easier, instead of consuming all with an almighty tornado; etc.) The fact is is that dragons in their raw state are too intense and turbulent for the elements to handle that they are unable to do the simplest things without a weaker body.

[Fairy]

[Elf]

[Death Reaper]?

[Animal Experiment]?

[Name] Professor Avide. [no known first name]

[Age] Anything goes when it comes to unnecessary things~

[Gender] Horrifyingly Male.

[Race] Absolutely Human.

[Appearance]
Spoiler:
Note: Avide was originally a brunet but "dyed his hair," as he says.

[About] When Avide was a child, he preferred reading books and studying living beings, as opposed to actually interacting with them (and to this date, he still does). Whenever he talked, he usually mumbled to himself calculations that he had measured that day and even then he wouldn't dream about anything else but science. Science was, and is, everything to him. The study of life, the study of humans, the study of different organisms whether they were dead or alive—that was what he lived for. Because of this, despite his rather poor upbringing, he continuously expanded his knowledge whatever way possible: information from books, biased, prejudiced, or not; data updated by so-called masterminds, boasting about advancements in technology; or even from his own little experiments where he observed how little bugs melted underneath harsh rays of light or examining the insides of a mole he had just dissected with a pocket knife... When out of the blue, his parents died. Just like that. Honestly, though, he hadn't cared for his parents—not as much as he did for science. So as long as he could keep disfiguring small creatures and configuring the different methods to keep them alive the entire process, he didn't mind being moved to an orphanage or living in it for the next few years of his life. Not at all.

Until one day, a girl came up to him.

Since he was born, Avide wasn't very social, not with the adults and certainly not with the inferior children. He spent most of his time locked inside his room, kneeling in the corner as he watched rodents run around in his custom-made mazes until they reached the exit, only to die at the end by the hand of a hammer (his hand to be exact). It was when he had laid the thirty-sixth rat on top of his growing collection of dead carcasses that one of the girls—he remembered how she looked, as he did with everything he observed, with her dotted freckles and scarlet braids—opened the door and approached him. He had immediately turned to stare at her, of course, but did not utter a single word. She seemed kind, kinder than the other kids who talked about him behind his back and ridiculed his "stupid hobbies," and as he stared impassively at her she had only asked one simple question. "Won't you play with us?"

But he hadn't replied. He had merely gazed at her for a little while longer until he returned to his decaying pile of rodents and snatched another from his live cage, prepping his clipboard for yet another round of data, this time replacing the bits of poisoned food with spiked traps. The girl repeated her question again, and he simply let the rat scurry in, watching it sniff its foreign surroundings. If he had bothered to glance back at her, he'd have noticed the disappointed expression on her face; but he hadn't, and so the door closed behind her with a loud thump. Avide remained observant of the rat for a long while until his eyes widened as a sudden, brilliant idea hit him like he had with that hammer. Why not play with them? Why should he keep playing with these pathetic, dirty creatures when he had a whole platter of even more pathetic, dirtier creatures laid out in front of him? And just as that rat stepped on a trigger, releasing the spikes underneath it and skewering it to its death, he grinned.

The next moment he remembered, dead bodies littered the floor, surrounding him with a pool of wonderfully fresh blood... and he couldn't help but grin in satisfaction. The details weren't necessary—humans were surprisingly gullible, much more gullible than rats and other rodents, and in a mere week he had not only attained everyone's trust but also their reason of death. Their terrified screams, their frightened eyes, their pitiful cries for mercy... were much more beautiful than that girl's freckles and braids.

And so, Avide quickly learned that in order to be successful he had to have other people. It was quite easy, really; he was more surprised by that than anything else. He effortlessly worked as a scientist, a therapist, a researcher, a doctor—so many wonderful jobs and even more wonderful patients to go along with them! The human body was just as intriguing as the human mind, and an infinite times more than moles or rats. For a long time, he stuck with less than humane experiments on men, women, and children; the weirder they were, the more he accepted them. Even more pleasant was the fact that no one cared about what he did with these people, and so he could toy with them just for himself. Though... then the question of other dimensional creatures came up.

What would it be like to actually stake a vampire in the heart? How would it feel to decapitate a werewolf's head? What about creating a tangible Frankenstein simply by combining different parts of organisms like fairies, dragons, elves, or angels? It began as cute, petite fantasies during his experiments, imagining the wondrous possibilities as he listened to the sound of his favorite music... until one day, he received an inter-dimensional transporter. Well, not really received, but "borrowed"; after all, he had to wrench it from the tight grip of a few dead colleagues, but that was no matter.

It was with that device that he met a being so surreal that he simply could not believe he wasn't dreaming. After having wreaked havoc through a few dimensions and kidnapping various living beings all the while, Professor Avide encountered the most unique figure he had ever laid eyes upon; with truly dark powers he had never witnessed before, that same excitement from that day in his childhood flared and he knew what he wanted.

Not that anyone else knew what went on in that mind of his.

[Weapons, skill, power & ability]

[Profound Knowledge] Despite his personality, Avide is an undoubtedly intellectual man, surpassing any other human's brain capacity with his own. He is able to form and conclude analyses within a short period of time, unmatched only by machines themselves which are programed to do this same exact processes. This knowledge also allows him to control other organisms easily as he understands how their minds work, often better than they do themselves.

[Laboratory and Equipment] Everything Avide owns is made by himself. The gurney, the lab table, the flasks, the chemicals... he prides himself on keeping his experiments "pure and loved by him". He's also manufactured his fair share of weapons, but he doesn't use them frequently because their main purpose is mass murder. In cases where he has to suppress a few key individuals, he has a couple of hidden firearms ready.

[Serpents] Avide owns some few... hundred venomous snakes and cobras as pets. He keeps them in a cage spacious enough to accommodate a number of people. He tends to feed them the leftover remains of failed and/or successful experiments, though he occasionally treats them to a live organism for his own enjoyment (but the data is also a key element in it). He also collects their secreted toxins for future projects in the same fashion that gardeners pick ripe fruit. He's more than happy to utilize them in every respect during his research, however.

[Altered Body] It would be a lie to state that Avide never tried testing on his own body. Of course, he never did it without checking it on something else; otherwise, that'd be stupid. He says the effects will show up eventually, but it's strangely coincidental that he dyed his hair the day after he did so...

[Inter-Dimensional Transporter] This mechanism is Avide's one and only non-living creation. He toiled on it until its successful development, alongside a number of other scientists too small to count. When it passed its trial test and performed spectacularly well, the professor immediately erased the other workers and took the device for himself, claiming that the project was unproductive and aborted to the public before escaping through it himself. Since then, he's utilized it to collect specimen for his experiments, along with gathering a few... assistants.

[Name] Lucas Emmeno.

[Age] Twenty-three.

[Gender] Male.

[Race] Human.

[Appearance]
Spoiler:
Note: Lucas initially had dark-colored eyes, but they changed to red "due to stress," he explains softly.

[About] Lucas lived with a basic family of four, consisting of his mother, father, and dearest sister, Nami. While it was true that he did care about their parents, he cared much more for his younger twin to the point that from then until now he considers it love. Who else did they need? Sure, their parents gave birth to them, but other than that they didn't deserve any recognition. Whatever the siblings did, they did together, whether it was playing around, learning meaningless equations, or doing the silliest of things. No matter where they were or what they did, he didn't mind—as long as it was for his sister, he would go anywhere and do anything. Although, Lucas was particularly defensive about the people around them because he didn't want anyone to hurt his little sister. She was precious to him, after all; what would he do without her? The mere thought of it struck him right at the heart, and he knew from that instant that he'd never ever betray his Nami, never in a million years...

Then came the day their parents died. That was it. They had died. Nami hadn't killed them. Certainly, the two of them had been there at the crime scene, but that didn't mean anything. That didn't mean everyone could blame his sister. That didn't mean they could put her in a mental hospital. That didn't they could tear them apart just because they assumed that she was "insane"! For years, the twins had been separated with only a wall between them, maybe even a couple more, but that was it! It was at that horrendous time that he had had the indecency to attend college, while his beloved sister rotted away in that torturous prison... filled with nothing but lies bred out of fear. If he had to choose a part of his life to regret, it would have been that long moment, where he had sided with the wrong people—the doctors and nurses and medicine and all those treacherous criminals—who broke them apart.

When he realized the mistake he had committed, he immediately took action. But it was almost torturous to do so because his cherished sister had been strapped down, brutalized, humiliated because of the assumption that she was "dangerous"! His Nami, dangerous of all things? His adorable little sister, who he loved with all his heart, who he was practically mad about, who was not the perpetrator but the victim—how could those disgusting mongrels fool him for so long? The idea infuriated him, and still does, but perhaps that wasn't the worst part. No, the worst part... had to be the best.

On the day that Nami was to be deported, Lucas had devised a plan, a plan so ingenious that it would allow them to be together and away from those who kept them apart, and all it took was one night. A few hours' difference was all it took. He didn't want to leave his little sister trapped inside a room, barren aside from herself, but what else was he supposed to do in the society that they lived in? The society which did not accept them... the society which tried to destroy their relationship... the society which they could not trust... No, what Lucas had to do was break her out of there as soon as possible. And so he left her, alone in that vast room, immobilized against her will, him regretting ever letting go of his beautiful sister's hand... until he bumped into a man who referred to himself as "Professor Avide". Although he hadn't met with this person before (he wasn't Nami's doctor, that repulsive dog) he had assumed that this man was just like the rest—fearful hypocrites who thought nothing of but themselves; because of this, he had pretended to be friendly with him, as if they were good friends. But then the brunet mentioned his sister; he mentioned a way out. It all seemed too good to be true that he thought it was another one of society's tricks. In spite of this, the man named Avide grinned and whispered to him exactly what they would do and then his sister would be running into his arms...

That night, his arms were indeed filled with her warm body.

That is, until Avide showed up again. Despite the gratitude he felt towards the professor's aid, he didn't trust this person; the latter had been posing as someone else and had fooled everyone else, including the male twin. What other lies would spill out of his mouth? When he approached, he remarked how wonderful it was that the two of them were back together and that it really had been difficult for him to stand by and watch such a beautiful love weaken in this horrid society... so why not leave this place and come with him? It would prevent them from ever being ripped apart again, and they'd never have to return here... The idea seemed mind-blowing; traveling to a different dimension? That wasn't logically possible. It shouldn't have been. But it was.

Avide offered to take them away from this revolting world, escape the tight grips of society, and fly into an entirely different place—a new dimension. In turn, they'd work under him as assistants for his... projects. Lucas was hesitant to accept this, but when this man had saved Nami and even eradicated that torture chamber out of existence... it only took his sister's insistence for him to agree. Since then, Lucas has been one of Avide's underlings, not quite like a servant but also not a right-hand man.

He still does not trust the professor.

[Weapons, skill, power & ability]

[Pistol] Although Lucas is undoubtedly compassionate towards his sister, he is cold to everyone else. Anyone who dares threaten to hurt her faces the brute of his pistol, which is handed down from his father. After practicing with it a few times, he has grown accustomed to its weight and strength and is a fairly skilled gunman. He carries a few extra firearms on him but always reaches for this one first out of habit.

[Fighting Skills] His body seems skinny underneath his jacket, but what actually lies there is two years' worth of martial arts. He started learning it in his free time and eventually mastered a few techniques, effectively able to knock down a couple people with only a single hit.

[Altered Body] Due to his doubt in the professor and everything he does, Lucas tends to avoid his laboratory filled with experiments and all the like. However, a few days after he and his sister entered Avide's workplace, his eyes suddenly converted into a rusty red color. He explains that it's just because he's been so stressed at the idea of dimension-warping and that it's some form of jet-lag, but every now and then he'll throw up all of his stomach's contents, so empty that it feels as if he's trying to gag entire organs out...
